モディ首相率いるインド人民党(BJP)の勝利が予想されていますね。

Located in Karnataka state, Bengaluru is often in the news for its low voter turnout.
前回の2019年の総選挙では、Bangalore 南選挙区の投票率は53.7%で、カーナタカ州で最低でした。
In the last general election in 2019, the city’s Bangalore South constituency had recorded the lowest voting percentage in Karnataka state at 53.7%.
(注）Bangalore : バンガロールはベンガルール(Bengaluru)の旧称です。
バンガロール中部(54.3%) とバンガロール北部(54.7%)の投票率も、州全体の投票率68％と比べると低かったのです。
Turnout was also low in Bangalore Central (54.3%) and Bangalore North (54.7%) compared with the state’s total turnout at 68%.

53.7%で最低なのですね。
日本は、総務省によると、令和3年(2021年）10月の衆議院議員総選挙の投票率は、55.93％、令和4年(2022年）7月の参議院議員通常選挙の投票率は、52.05%だそうです。恥ずかしいですね。
ちなみに、私の住む藤沢市の今年2月の市長選の投票率は、34.69%で、それでも前回よりは上がったのだそうです。（前回は29.27%) とても恥ずかしい。
