前回投稿してから一ヶ月近く経ってしまいました。
あっという間に月日は流れますね。
そんな間にさまざまな選挙が行われました。

4月末には、フランスのマクロン大統領が再選されました。
その後、お隣り韓国では尹 錫悦大統領が誕生し、先日就任式が行われましたね。

Incoming President Yoon Suk Yeol assumes the role at a time of increased tension with North Korea. He is expected to be more friendly towards the US and Japan, while going hard on China and North Korea, a sharp departure from outgoing President Moon Jae-in who strived for peace talks with the North. フィリピンではマルコス・ジュニアが大統領に選ばれましたね。

Ferdinand Marcos Jr. claimed victory in the 2022 Philippines elections on Wednesday, saying the “people have spoken decisively,” according to a statement from his spokesperson.
With 98% of the votes counted Marcos Jr. received 31 million votes compared to his closest rival, the outgoing Vice President Leni Robredo, who got about 14 million, partial and unofficial results showed. (CNN)

2倍以上の差の圧勝でしたね。副大統領はドゥテルテ前大統領の長女。その二人が選ばれるのはちょっと不思議な気がしますね。
