Appalling because what was done is a decedent, someone who was a victim of a homicide and was obviously deceased, was brought back to life to make his own victim-impact statement in front of the judge. I think it was quite creepy. (Grasso)

victim-impact statement : 被害者影響声明（米国などの刑事裁判において、犯罪の被害者またはその遺族が、犯罪によって受けた精神的、身体的、経済的な影響や苦痛を、書面または口頭で裁判官に伝えるもの）
creepy : 気味の悪い、ぞっとさせる
These were words that were generated, I guess, by his family. (Cooper)
